You must probably know by now that I love the seasons of our Christian calendar! They create an awesome rhythm of worship, rest and reflection for our years on Earth as we wait for the return of Christ and His "here but not already here" Kingdom!
The season before the "feast" of Christmas has to be one of the most joyous of the entire year. I love the season of Advent. Not because we get to light candles but because we get to spend 4 weeks to reflect on what is the incarnation of Christ and what it means, who he is. Wouldn't you say it is super appropriate in a world like ours and in times like these where there are both bright hope and deep despair, vibrant life and dark brokenness, amazing victory and deadly tragedy…
I invite you this coming Advent season to bring it all to God and to expect to see much in the manger.
